The Asian Startup Expo ‘FLY ASIA 2022' was a 3-day event, hosted at Busan City from 22nd to 24th November 2022. According to the city of Busan on the 25th November, there were over 40 programs operated for Asian startups and investors, participation from 10,000 people from 42 countries, and over 350 investment consultations were held at the 'one-on-one meetup’.
Among 178 startups from 14 Asian countries that pitched their ideas and businesses to a panel of investors, PI.EXCHANGE was selected as a Top 50 semi-finalist and subsequently shortlisted as one of the Top 10 finalists. PI.EXCHANGE also had the opportunity to participate in various networking events throughout the event, including 1 on 1 investor meetings, meet ups with South Korean investors, and introduction to various government support schemes.
PI.EXCHANGE received a strong level of interest from potential investors, which helps to strengthen and nurture the relationship of new partnerships.

During the event, 22 high-ranking officials from 9 Asian cities, including Busan’s Mayor, held round table meetings both online and offline to discuss ways of further developing the Asian startup ecosystem. Meanwhile, 50 representatives from the Asian investment field attended the “Investor Leaders Forum”, where they discussed the need to build an investment network to vitalize the Asian startup ecosystem in the future.
FLY ASIA 2022 proved to be a highly successful event, and is an innovative turning point for Busan's startup ecosystem to expand beyond the metropolitan area and into more parts of Asia.
