PI.EXCHANGE was very excited and humbled to get the opportunity to participate in 500 Startups Vietnam Demo Day.
500 Startups is the most active venture capital investor in Vietnam, and Friday 20th November saw another fantastic demo day by the 500 team. This is where startups had the opportunity to pitch to global investors.
The Demo Day showcased rising stars in 500 Startups Vietnam portfolio, and was attended by 100+ investors, entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders who convened at the event in Ho Chi Minh City, with hundreds of others joined the live stream.
Most of the 9 startups that presented on Friday graduated from the three-month Saola Accelerator program. Saola Accelerator, named after the rare Vietnamese deer also known as the “Asian unicorn”, is an accelerator program supporting Vietnam-connected startups with investment as well as programmatic support. PI.EXCHANGE relished participating in 500 Startups Vietnam and Saola Accelerator and are thrilled in the subsequent investment and continued support of PI.EXCHANGE vision. Launched in 2019, the Saola Accelerator has hosted 3 batches with a total of 17 startups including a mix of fintech, edtech, and e-commerce businesses.
PI.EXCHANGE was in good company on Demo Day with the 9 startups that presented doing business in 17 markets across Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America.
